Wendi Dumbroff speaks on codependency in relationships
Wendi L. Dumbroff, MA, LPC, was a repeat guest on the ‘Whiskey Sex Talk’ podcast.
In a wide-ranging conversation with Host Romeo Perlman, Dumbroff addressed her alternate view of codependency in various relationships.
Dumbroff perspective is people’s behavior make sense given their personal histories. She emphasized self-awareness and setting good boundaries as useful tools.
When speaking on the challenges of addressing issues, she stated:
“It takes way more courage to peel back the defensive blanket of anger or toughness to see whatever softness is underneath there; the vulnerable parts. We really can’t help how we feel, but we can help what we do.”
